31 of young Aussies hold crypto despite being risk averse ASX survey

1. Cryptocurrency adoption is on the rise among young Australians: According to a recent survey by the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX),31% of young Australians between the ages of 18 and 34 currently hold some form of cryptocurrency. This trend indicates a growing interest in digital assets among the youth population in Australia.
2. Bitcoin remains the preferred cryptocurrency for Australians: Out of all the cryptocurrencies available,Bitcoin remains the most popular among Australians. The ASX survey found that 58% of the respondents who held cryptocurrency owned Bitcoin,followed by Ethereum at 20% and then Ripple at 12%.
3. Security and lack of understanding are major barriers to wider adoption: Despite the growing interest in cryptocurrencies,the ASX survey also highlighted some of the major barriers to wider adoption. Many respondents reported concerns around the security of their cryptocurrency holdings,with 29% stating that they were worried about the potential for the theft of their digital assets. Moreover,a majority of the respondents indicated a lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies,with 56% saying that they found them difficult to understand.
