US lawmaker Tom Emmer has accused the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) of using banking instability to attack crypto,citing the collapses of Signature Bank,Silicon Valley Bank,and Silvergate Bank as evidence. Emmer called on FDIC chair Martin Gruenberg to answer questions about whether the government corporation has suggested banks should not provide services to crypto firms. He also alleged that the Biden administration is attempting to “choke off digital assets” from the U.S. financial system.
