La Banca d'Italia sta incoraggiando l'uso della tecnologia di registro distribuito (DLT) e si sta preparando per l'imminente regolamento sui mercati delle criptovalute (MiCA)Il governatore Ignazio Visco vuole separare "strumenti e servizi ad alto rischio" da quelli che portano benefici tangibili all'economiaL'Italia ha recentemente imposto un'imposta sulle plusvalenze del 26% sul trading di criptovalute oltre i 2.000 euro nel 2023, ma i contribuenti possono scegliere di pagare invece un'imposta del 14%Visco ha stimato che il 2% delle famiglie italiane possiede criptovalute con un importo medio di detenzione modesto

The Bank of Italy is encouraging the use of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and is preparing for the upcoming Markets in CryptoAssets (MiCA) regulation. Governor Ignazio Visco wants to separate "highly risky instruments and services" from those that bring tangible benefit to the economy. Italy recently imposed a 26% capital gains tax on cryptoasset trading over 2,000 euros in 2023,but taxpayers have the choice of paying a 14% tax instead. Visco estimated that 2% of Italian households own crypto assets with an average holding amount being modest.
