Mick Mulvaney,the former acting White House chief of staff,has suggested that "Operation Choke Point 2.0" may have contributed to the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. This policy,which was supposedly created to limit certain industries’ access to U.S. banking services,has been met with criticism by some in the crypto space who believe it is a coordinated effort to discourage banks from holding crypto deposits or providing banking services to crypto firms on the basis of “safety and soundness” for the banking system.
