A Blockchain Association submeteu solicitações da Lei de Liberdade de Informação à Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve System e Office of the Comptroller of the Currency para investigar como as ações dos reguladores “contribuíram indevidamente” para o colapso de três bancos. A Associação acredita que as empresas criptográficas devem ser tratadas como qualquer outra empresa com acesso a contas bancárias. Os relatórios sugerem que o FDIC solicitou que os potenciais compradores dos bancos falidos não oferecessem suporte a nenhum serviço criptográfico como parte de seu “processo de marketing confidencial”.. The Blockchain Association has submitted Freedom of Information Act requests to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation,Federal Reserve System,and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in order to investigate how regulators’ actions “improperly contributed” to the collapse of three banks. The Association believes that crypto firms should be treated like any other business with access to bank accounts. Reports suggest that the FDIC requested potential buyers of the failed banks not support any crypto services as part of its “confidential marketing process”. This could force companies to turn to “shadier” options for financial services.
