Moody's Investor Service has published a report stating that the recent turmoil in the banking sector,culminating in USDC losing its peg,could negatively affect stablecoin growth and potentially increase calls for regulation. This event has highlighted reliance on a small set of offchain financial institutions which could lead to more runs on banks holding Circle's assets and depegging of other stablecoins.
