The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Policy (CAIDP) has filed a complaint with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to halt the release of OpenAI's large language model,GPT4,which it believes violates Section 5 of the FTC Act. The CAIDP argues that the commercial release of GPT4 is biased,deceptive,and a risk to privacy and public safety. They have asked the FTC to investigate OpenAI and impose necessary guardrails to protect consumers. Meanwhile,over 2600 experts have signed a petition calling for a pause in AI development.
