The National Futures Association (NFA) has issued a new compliance rule addressing members' conduct when engaging in activities involving digital assets. The new rule,which is modelled on existing antifraud rules,applies to Bitcoin and Ether and will come into effect on May 31. It requires members to comply with disclosure requirements,fraud guidance,principles of trade,and employee supervision standards. CFTC commissioner Caroline Pham praised the new rule as an example of using existing authority to ensure customer protections are in place.
